ESL ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE RATES
What are my rates? It really depends on how many hours a week I'm booked. If I teach you one hour a week it's going to cost more then two hours a week and two hours a week is going to cost more then three. One of the main reasons that this is necessary is because I am traveling to you. Therefore I won't be able to teach someone directly before you or after you.
My rates are also negotiable if I've been teaching a student consistently for a period of time. I can assure you that private lessons with me cost a lot less then they do at Berlitz where I previously taught for nine years. I'm also more affordable then all the other reputable English language schools in Rome.
Shoot me an email at Expatmichael@Alice.it and we can put the wheels in motion.

Teaching English in Roma
When I came to study on an abroad program at The American University of Rome I fell in love with the city. Taking courses like European Mass Media, Art and Architecture of Rome and Sociological Examination of Italian Culture I was introduced to the complexities, idiosyncrasies and magic of Italian life.
Years before that my parents had since immigrated to the states along with a few of my relatives. So my perspective was much more in the style of Italian American accent on the American. At home we always spoke a mixture of Italian, Southern Italian dialects and English. But by the time I went to college and experienced how cosmopolitan it was to speak in a foreign language, I became much more interested in my roots.
Ironically as far as my personal taste goes I am much more attracted to modern art and architecture. Rome even though it is one of the finest examples of ancient art and architecture has also been a breeding ground for many examples of modern art and architecture too. Zipping from one location to the next on my scooter sometimes I feel like I'm on a movie set or in a pop-up book.
Since I worked for a private school for more then nine years and additionally have been teaching freelance for a few years I have been able to work all over the city. I pride myself in knowing my city as well as or better than most of the natives do. I have been booked to teach in companies and private homes in every part of the center and most of the suburban parts of Rome too. I have also lived in four parts of the city including the center right behind the walls of the forum. Right off a square called Piazza del Grillo.
So naturally I am available to teach in different neighborhoods of the city as long as there is material time for me to get there and finish in time for my next booking. Rome has a lot of traffic and can be very hectic but that's part of it's style and rhythm.
For inquiries about lessons please email me at Expatmichael@Alice.it or send me a text message with your name to 333-841-8140 and I'll get in touch with you promptly after.
